چکیده
In classical mechanical testing, determining the stress and strain states of complex shape specimens turns out to be very challenging, especially in most deformed regions. latter case, when not enough material is present, non-destructive testing needed for corresponding state. this study, a novel approach, based on local quasi-non-destructive instrumented indentation technique (IIT) coupled with inverse analysis (IAT), used determine levels pre-strained DC01 using monotonic non-monotonic loading paths. Monotonic cyclic shear tests as well Marciniak tests, both plane equi-biaxial states, are apply different pre-strain levels. For paths, i.e. shearing Marcianiak applied methodology showed satisfying results specimens, values close representative values. A maximum error less than 15% was obtained case highest value (29.04%). The purely isotropic Voce hardening law adopted behavior studied cases: as-received pre-strained. shear, mixed isotropic-kinematic specimens. Adopting Chaboche led where estimation errors yield didn't exceed 6% 1.3%, respectively. show that proposed indentation-based method can useful estimating work-hardening level plastic deformation parts under various paths

Review of Instrumented Indentation
Instrumented indentation, also known as depth-sensing indentation or nanoindentation, is increasingly being used to probe the mechanical response of materials from metals and ceramics to polymeric and biological materials. The additional levels of control, sensitivity, and data acquisition offered by instrumented indentation systems have resulted in numerous advances in materials science, parti...

INSTRUMENTED INDENTATION TESTING (IIT), also known as depth-sensing indentation, continuous-recording indentation, ultra-low-load indentation, and nanoindentation, is a relatively new form of mechanical testing that significantly expands on the capabilities of traditional hardness testing. Developed largely over the past two decades, IIT employs high-resolution instrumentation to continuously c...

متن کاملConventional Vickers and true instrumented indentation hardness determined by instrumented indentation tests
We evaluate Vickers hardness and true instrumented indentation test (IIT) hardness of 24 metals over a wide range of mechanical properties using just IIT parameters by taking into account the real contact morphology beneath the Vickers indenter. Correlating the conventional Vickers hardness, indentation contact morphology, and IIT parameters for the 24 metals reveals relationships between conta...

57 A methodology for interpreting instrumented sharp indentation with dual sharp indenters with different tip apex 58 angles is presented by recourse to computational modeling within the context of finite element analysis. The forward 59 problem predicts an indentation response from a given set of elasto-plastic properties, whereas the reverse analysis 60 seeks to extract elasto-plastic propert...
